Nice ’73 Plymouth Duster Restoration!

The 1973 Plymouth Duster is a face-lifted version of the original Plymouth Duster which was released in 1970. The general shape of the 1970 Duster was maintained, although there were a few changes made in the slope of the roof, the hood of the car, the grille, bumpers, and the taillights. The twin horizontal chrome taillights were mounted on the outside and the design stayed that way through 1976, competing against the slightly larger Nova from Chevrolet and the smaller Maverick from Ford.

This stunning Plymouth Duster features a gloss lime light poly finish, with a black vinyl stripe on the sides, adding to the aggression that this muscle car already displays. The hood for the air-inlet perfectly complements the semi-fastback design of the two-door vehicle, with the rounded chrome mirrors augmenting the car’s old-school charm.

440 powered plymouth duster

This restored 1973 Plymouth Duster features a 440 cubic inch engine in place of the original 6 cylinder, 198 cubic inch one. To make the car handle the bigger engine and the extra power, it was fitted with a Champion Aluminum radiator, apart from other improvements like a Painless wiring harness and an MSD ignition.

The interior of the 1973 Plymouth duster 440 has been completely revamped. The vehicle has been given B&M style shifter, Auto Meter gauges and a fresh new carpet. The powerful 440 cubic inch engine is assisted with a three speed Torque Flight automatic transmission helping the power reach the center line weld style wheels.
