True K-code 1966 Mustang Built for Show & Go!
In 1966 the K-coded Mustangs were fitted with the same 289 V8 engines used in the Shelby GT350. This probably is the reason that made the restorer of this gorgeous Fastback Mustang to add the White Shelby stripes and a quite a few more Shelby performance parts.
You will have to admit that this Supercharged 1966 Mustang is restored with serious attention to details and due to the numerous original Shelby components used it is really hard to tell this is not a real GT350. Inside this K-code Mustang also looks very neat and features the correct gauges, Shelby steering wheel & shift knob and is signed by Carroll Shelby as well.
Under the hood of the 1966 Ford Mustang sits a completely rebuilt with new components 289 Hi-Po motor dressed with intake manifold from Cobra, special carburetor kit and supercharged with Paxton unit. The V8 engine is linked to a manual 4-speed transmission with 9″ Posi rear end.
