The passionate husband and wife drag racing team acquired the 1967 Cougar in 2016, but the car has been raced at the Alaska Raceway Park for years.
The “Plane Insane II” Mercury Cougar is a complete fiberglass body sitting on full tube chassis certified to 6.0 seconds and wears a spectacular Emerald Green Metal Flake paint from House of Kolor. The naturally aspirated alcohol injected 660 cubic inch Ford based engine makes 1,200 horsepower controlled by built Reid Powerglide trans and Strange rear end with 4.29 gears.
