Built with the intention to be cheap, but powerful the 1969 Plymouth Road Runner 440 quickly became popular within the hard core muscle car enthusiasts back in the day and was actually Motor Trend’s “Car of the Year” for 1969.
Laser straight body painted in sinister Black Velvet with lift off fiber glass hood, sitting on 15″ steel Black wheels and no fancy options included this nicely restored 1969 Road Runner is a prime example of raw old school muscle car.
Of course the heart of this Mopar is under the hood. The A12 optioned Plymouth Road Runners pack the 440 cubic inch 6 Barrel V8 engine rated at 390 horsepower and 490 pounds of torque controlled by a 4-speed with Dana 60 rear end.
