This Drop Top 1966 Mustang Is A Show Stopper!
Well known within the hot rodders community the Classic Restorations shop of Southern Indiana brought to the 2017 Pigeon Forge Rod Run a spectacular 1966 Ford Mustang project they have recently built for a customer. The owner wanted to maintain the original appearance and although the pony looks bone stock the combination of custom Classic Chardonnay color, perfect chrome & trim and slick aftermarket wheels makes this convertible 1966 Mustang a head turning hot rod.
There is a lot of custom work on the inside, but if you don't count the aftermarket cool touch Black leather seats everything looks factory. The original 1966 Mustang theme is maintained under the hood as well where you will see a factory looking 289 V8 motor stroked to 347 cubic inches that is also fuel injected and dressed with topping kit from Edelbrock to push about 450 horsepower controlled by 5-speed manual.
