1971 Challenger R/T Built To Dominate The Drag Strip!
The 70’s Challengers were never intended to be grocery getters even with the smallest engines available, but whoever ordered this 1971 Dodge Challenger back in the day certainly had one thing in mind – to terrorize the drag strips.
No color is more aggressive than the Black, those Orange R/T stripes are like warning signs, the Shaker hood suggests beefy V8 underneath and the 15-inch steel hub cap wheels wrapped in Good Year Polyglas GT tires are definitely not intended to improve the styling of this Mopar.
Of course this Black 1971 Dodge Challenger R/T aggressive look is backed by high performance combo. The 440 three double barrel carburetor V8 engine with 10.3 to 1 compression ratio is married to a 3-speed Torqueflite automatic and Dana 60 rear end.
