Acquired by Tom Wilds and his Brother back in 1988 with the intention to restore the muscle car together this 1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator has been sitting in a barn for 12 years until the work started. Since his brother lost interest in the project Tom has spent about 15 years of his life time searching for parts and putting the car together, but he seems to be very satisfied with the achievement.
Tom's 1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator is restored to showroom quality, it wears the nice Competition Gold paint with the correct stripes and decals and packs the mighty Boss 302 4V motor linked to 4-speed close ratio manual transmission with Hurst shifter. My friend Lou has interviewed Tom Wilds at the Ford Nationals in Carlisle so check out the video and don't forget to hit the Like!
