1970 plymouth hemi cuda drag racing

You might have seen this 1970 Plymouth HEMI Cuda before as it’s part of the 604 Street Legit drag racing crew in BC, Canada. It makes around 750 horsepower to the wheels, runs consistent 9-second 1/4 mile times and it lines up against a RS3 Audi pushing the same amount of power. Obviously both cars are heavily modified, with the Mopar wearing massive street legal drag tires at the back, and the AWD Audi riding on skinny drag radials on all four corners.

Very close race, and although the 1970 HEMI Cuda lost (by 0.1 second) it was very interesting to see how naturally aspirated old school American V8 runs side by side with modern turbocharged sports car. Play the video brought to you by Wheels to see the HEMI Cuda vs RS3 Audi 1/4 mile race.
