This is definitely not your average 1962 Pontiac Catalina, this is a real deal factory built race car with very interesting history. Campaigned by the Packer Pontiac team this car won a NHRA Super Stock record at Indy Nationals with Howard Maseles behind the wheel running the 1/4 mile in 11.73 seconds at 118mph.
This 1962 Pontiac Catalina 421 V8 is a completely different powerplant compared to the engines you could get on any other Pontiac car. With over 12 to 1 compression ratio, aluminum dual quad intake, high flow heads, racing cam etc. the engine was underrated at 405hp controlled by a 4-speed and 4.33 geared rear end.
