High Performance 1965 Chevelle Malibu SS Z16.
Back in 1965 General Motors had to build a vehicle with light weight and powerful engine to compete with the 1964 Pontiac GTO considered the first muscle car. The 1965 Chevy Chevelle Malibu was the right option in terms of weight, so they put in the 396 cubic inch V8 engine rated at 375 horse power & 420 pounds of torque and created a monster.
The 1965 Chevelle Malibu SS combined with the 396 V8 engine was called a Z16 package. Kevin Oeste tells the whole story of this beast produced by Chevrolet in the mid 60’s, so check out the video to see and hear more of this muscle car.
