Built by Ford to introduce the new 1966 Fairlane, this prototype is one amazing piece of American automotive history. It was used as a show car, which was unveiled at the 1966 Detroit Autorama and then travelled across the country with the rest of the Ford vehicles part of the "Custom Car Caravan."

The 1966 Ford Fairlane GT-X prototype features very interesting sparkle-tone interior, Hurst wheels and Ansen shifter and packs a 427 side oiler V8 engine paired with 3-speed and 4.11 gears 9-inch rear. The car was a big hit at the 2019 MCACN show and was recently auctioned at Barrett Jackson for almost $250,000.
