According to the NHRA rules Ford had to built 100 Fairlane Lightweight cars in order to compete, and these bad boys were running 11’s on the quarter mile with ease. Today you can still see some of the survivors making an appearance at vintage drag racing events.

While the 1964 Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt offers no luxury, it sports the mighty 427 Side Oiler V8 engine topped with aluminum intake and dual 600 Holley four barrel carbs to kick in 425 horsepower and 480 pounds of torque controlled by either a 4-speed or a 3-speed automatic.
