Today we are going to take closer look at Chopper Scott's newly installed 427 Small Block Chevy engine, as well as see him doing a pass with the 1973 Camaro Z/28 at Lebanon Valley Dragway. Check out the start up after installation video and then scroll down for the race track footage.
It is 11:1 compression Dart SHP block punched to 434 cubes assembled by Big Sal's Racing Engines. The 427 Small Block Chevy is dressed with plenty of performance goodies including AFR heads, Solid roller cam, and Edelbrock Super Victor II intake. Dyno tuned by Bison Engine and Machine it made 667 horsepower and 617 pounds of torque. The power is transferred through reverse manual Turbo 400 with trans brake and Strange Engineering 9" rear with Mark Williams hi-torque axles.
