Gurney’s Shelby Trans Am Mustang Restored!
This is the real 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302 owned and raced by Dan Gurney in the Trans Am series. Within only three Mustangs built for this particular season, this was the test car and prototype, as well as Ford Media vehicle. Dan Gurney raced the ’69 Mustang Boss 302 at Kent, while Peter Revson finished 4th at Laguna Seca, which was the top score for the car in this season.
This incredibly rare Shelby Trans Am Mustang prototype have been owned and raced by quite a few people ever since and even sold in Mexico at some point. Later on the car found its way back to the States and was restored to its original glory by Phil Gallant.
With the majority of the parts used on the restoration of this 1969 Mustang Boss 302 being original and V8 motor producing 527 horsepower and 420 pounds of torque rebuilt by Tony Oddo of T.O.E Performance Products this Shelby Trans Am racer is quite a gem.
