Brutal All Motor 585 Cube Ford Fairlane in Action

I just came across this video of Lester Combs’ 1964 Ford Fairlane filmed few years ago during the Outlaw Street Car Reunion at Memphis Motorsports Park, and man what a monster. In a world of turbocharged and Nitrous fed race cars, it's truly fascinating to see a naturally aspirated old school beast ruling the strip. Powered by a BES Racing Engines built 585 cube Ford V8 mill paired with Powerglide trans and 4.57 geared 9-inch rear end, the 1964 Ford Fairlane runs like rocket.
