Spoliers, racing stripes, hood scoop, dual racing mirrors, it is obvious that the 1970 Mercury Cyclone Spoiler edition was for those who wanted to look cool and go wild. There were only six color options available for buyers to choose from, and this nicely restored example part of the American Muscle Car Museum collection wears the Competition Gold.
This 1970 Mercury Cyclone Spoiler surely has the looks, but is as fascinating in terms of performance. This 429 Super Cobra Jet engine is topped with 780CFM Holley carb and equipped with mechanical flat-tappet camshaft. The Drag Pack was also a standard addition to the the 429 SCJ engine advertised at 370 horsepower controlled by a 4-speed.
