While not very popular among hot rodders, the second generation Mercury Cougar is somehow significant to the FoMoCo history as it was the final version derived from the Mustang as wel as the last convertible.
To be honest, I never thought I will see a restomodded 1973 Mercury Cougar, but the guys at KTL Restorations have done a great job on this Triple Black build. They have tucked in the big ugly bumpers, cleaned up the exterior, and lowered it just enough to look good on those aftermarket wheels.
The stock appearance is retained inside, enhanced with Dakota Digital instrument cluster and custom steering wheel by Con2R. The 351 Cleveland engine of the 1973 Mercury Cougar is punched to 414 cubes, dressed with Trick Flow heads and paired with Tremec 5-speed transmission.
