7-Second Big Block Ford '69 Mercury Cyclone in Action

After owning several Mercury cars during his youth, Randy Dolensek purchased this 1969 Cyclone as a roller from fellow drag racer Jim Plimpton. He transformed it into 7-seconds quarter mile beast which many of you have seen as it was featured in Dragzine and other magazines.

Randy changed many engines during the years, and I am not sure what is the 1969 Mercury Cyclone current set up as this run was filmed back in 2015 at Route 66 Raceway. At the time it was fitted with 598 Big Block Ford with Nitrous mated to Proformance Racing 3-speed trans.
