Authentic 1965 Shelby GT350 R Acquired for $875,000

One of the original Mustang GT350 R cars built by Shelby American in 1965 for the SCCA Production racing, this is a real gem. Offered with full history and documentation, this 1965 Shelby GT350 R was sold at Bring a Trailer for $875,000 in April of 2022.

The Mustang currently sports a street spec built 289 HiPo dressed with Holley 4-barrel, high rise Cobra intake, and Tri-Y headers. According to the info I got, the 1965 Shelby GT350 R new owner also received the original 289 engine, and magnesium racing wheels.
