Well known engine builder and drag racer Bill “Grumpy” Jenkins who passed away in 2012 won 13 NHRA events between 1965 and 1975. He is a true legend, and this 1965 Chevy Malibu is a great tribute to his memory. While he had to turn to Chrysler for the 1964-65 season, “The Grump” returned to Chevrolet in ’66 and kept the BowTie out in front for many more years. My man James Hrovat filmed this car doing couple of 1/4 mile hits several years ago at Byron.
